Welcome to our page!

When I began dating a youth ministry director in 2018, I felt wildly out of my realm. Even as a child raised in a ministry home for most of my life and the church in general for literally ALL of my life, the idea of marrying a man so invested in his faith that he chose to pursue full-time ministry as a career terrified me. I had journals from my middle school days filled with prayers for my future hubby — (so certain that I had one… what questionable ideology we indoctrinate into our young ones…ah, but this is a topic for another time) — Most of those awfully handwritten scribbles included lists of what I wanted this mysterious man to be: You guessed it; twelve year old Mikayla had the hots for those ministry fellas. Here I write years later, paralyzed by the fear of the vast inadequacy I would surely face should I choose to walk through life beside this dream. Per the usual, I did some research beginning with a google search.

“Resources for women married into ministry”

I watched as pages of links populated. But there was nothing of value. Literally nothing. You want to lead a Bible study? Here are 300 studies to choose from for your group. You want to explore your personal call to ministry? Here are 150 books written to a (mostly) masculine audience. You want to marry a minister? Nothing. You want to move across the country to support your husband as he takes on an under-supported youth ministry under the scrutiny of skeptics? Zero. You want to hear an entire church whisper awful gossip about the person who is growing to be the other half of you? Blank. You want to know intimate details about every family sitting in the pews around you on a Sunday without a human soul to truly connect with yourself? Out of luck. Alone. Married into but not apart of. Intimately connected but separate. Eternally involved yet professionally dismissed.

Calling all women of Jesus: we have a problem. JESUS IS FOR WOMEN. Let us be for women too.
